Estate Planning includes Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts, as well as other means of passing property to heirs. Estate planning allows individuals and families to pass property to heirs, nominate a guardian for minor children, provide for proper management of inheritance, and more.
Estate Law includes planning for long term care and end of life. I can help you understand the ever-changing rules of Medicaid eligibility, what Medicare does and does not cover, and end-of-life or disability decision-making.

I can help you navigate the various programs, plan for your loved one to continue to have care, even if you become unable to provide it, and plan to leave an inheritance to your disabled loved-one without jeopardizing their public benefits.
Marriage Equality went into effect in Wisconsin in 2014, but couples should still consider a parentage order, confirmatory adoption or parental powers of attorney to ensure that both parents are fully recognized in Wisconsin and nationally. Elizabeth was born in Iola, where everyone knows each other. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lawrence University and Cum Laude from University of Wisconsin Law School. After practicing for several years at two firms, she has opened her own practice to focus on the needs of clients and families, and to redistribute a portion of profits to causes and organizations in the community. Elizabeth is committed to community service: she serves on the Appleton Task Force for Adaptation, Climate Mitigation and Resiliency, and she volunteers with We The Action, Legal Action of Wisconsin, ABA's Free Legal Answers, Citizen's Climate Lobby, Iola Winter Sports Club and other groups. In her free time, Elizabeth can be found running, cross-country skiing, hiking, baking bread or playing board games with her husband and two kids.
