Estate Planning includes Wills, Powers of Attorney and Trusts, as well as other means of passing property to heirs.  Estate planning allows individuals and families to pass property to heirs, nominate a guardian for minor children, provide for proper management of inheritance, and more.

Estate Law includes planning for long term care and end of life. I can help you understand the ever-changing rules of Medicaid eligibility, what Medicare does and does not cover, and end-of-life or disability decision-making.

Marriage Equality went into effect in Wisconsin in 2014, but couples should still consider a parentage order, confirmatory adoption or parental powers of attorney to ensure that both parents are fully recognized in Wisconsin and nationally.  Married and unmarried partners, whether LGBTQ+ or not, should have powers of attorney and wills in place in case of disability.
